Motivation
When I was in middle school, my doctor diagnosed me that
double jaw surgery can improve my long face shape and protruded jaw. And I've
been looking for double jaw surgery for my entire life. Until I became an
adult, surgery was impossible, and my parents were so opposed to bone surgery
that I gave up to do surgery. I used to take group pictures from behind my
classmate.
I thought I should change not only my appearance but also
my attitude toward life, so I thought about double jaw surgery again and chose
the EU. I found out through the application that Doctor has a long career and I
trusted him because he is an Oral and Maxillofacial The surgeon specializes in
double jaw surgery, not a plastic surgeon. I thought he could make me satisfied
with his experience in plastic surgery, and my parents trusted him that allowed
you to do the surgery since he was kind and detailed!

Yesterday, I had surgery and a stuffy nose, but it was
hard to open my mouth, so I had a hard time breathing. I feel refresh when the
doctor did suction on my nose in the morning. Fortunately, there is no pain,
but it is still hard to breathe. Thank you for coming and taking care of me
from time to time. I hope it's easier to breathe soon.

My face and neck are very swollen. I was so tired of
breathing and fluids early this morning, but I was grateful that the nurse was
so kind to me when I hospitalize. I got a laser this morning and now I'm
leaving the hospital, so I'm worried about going home.
Post OP 5 Days
Fortunately, I don't think I'm more swollen than
yesterday! These days, I look at the mirror first as soon as I wake up. Today,
I walked for an hour and drink pumpkin juice. Breathing is not that difficult
now. I hope only the numbness in the neck and under the eyes is solved!! I
don't know why time goes so slow. I want to lie down and sleep after tomorrow.
Post OP 8 Days
Noticeably, the swelling in the philtrum has gone down a
lot! When I observe my face I feel like my nose and lips seem to be getting
less swollen with to asymmetry. I'm not sure if my nose is getting swollen
because it's not as easy as I thought. I believe time will solve it. I wanted to
eat something new, so I ordered cream soup and soy milk today, and I feel
better now! These days, I'm scared to go out for a walk because of the
coronavirus, so I'm walking around hard at home. I'm going to wrap myself up
and go out tomorrow!

Tomorrow will be post-op for 2 weeks! My face needs to be
reducing swelling a lot, but there seems to be a change already after surgery.
My parents, who opposed the surgery, said I look better with surgery. I hope my
swelling would go down and remove stitches.
Post OP 17 Days
It's hard to stay in the house, so I'm walking around
with a mask on :) The swelling continues to go down a lot. Especially, it's
good to see MY philtrum area getting less swollen!
Post OP 19 Days
I met my friend for the first time after surgery. My
friend told me that outcome of the surgery is good because I have less swollen.
I hope I can go around without a mask soon!
Post OP 25 Days
My swelling looks not that different compare to
yesterday. My muscles are still awkward when I smile and talk. Nothing is
bothering my life after surgery but I have a strong appetite, so I am suffering
a lot. I only watch mukbang every day...I can't go out because of the corona
these days, but I should do small exercise at home hard at home!
Post OP 30 Days
Finally, after a month, I went to the hospital and saw
the progress and start the braces! There is still a lot of swelling left, but
looking at the pictures before and after, I could tell that there was a lot of
difference! I heard that I have more swelling than others. I hope my swelling
goes down soon. I've been staying at home lately because of coronavirus, and
now that I've been to the hospital after a long time, I feel refreshed. Now
that I only have braces left to go, I'll have to take good care of it so I can
have good results.
Post OP 43 Days
Now I am starting my part-time job again and meeting my
friends one by one. My friends told me that my face shape changed a lot after
the surgery that also my image changed too! In the past, if it looked frigid
and after surgery, I look cuter. I've been eating a lot these days, so I gained
weight again, so I should eat less and take care of myself more!
Post OP 51 Days
The swelling of my mouth has gone down a little, so the
awkwardness has gone away a lot! My parents say that my face has changed a lot
every time I see my face. They think that the result of the surgery is really
good! I think it's a relief that the semester is being postponed. I can't wait
for my swelling was gone!
Post OP 59 Days
There's still a lot of swelling, but the swelling on the
philtrum has reduced noticeably! My friends tease me about why my lips got so
small. I'm looking forward to it because I think it will change even more if
the swelling goes away! I'm still eating noodles mainly because of my braces,
but there's no big inconvenience! I feel relief after taking out the wafer!!!
But I feel much more uncomfortable when I doing my mouth exercise after getting
braces.
Post OP 70 Days
Time flies so fast already in April! The corona has been
continued and not sure that when it will end. So I am taking such a long break.
Even though my face shape has changed noticeably, I've been wearing braces, but
everyone seems to believe that I've lost some of my swellings, but the problem
is that I've been eating so well that I've been gaining weight, so I don't
think I can get any less weight or swelling. I should lose weight hard. I feel
comfortable now that my mouth is open!! My jaw is still splitting. I'll have to
wait a little longer.ᅲᅲ!!
Post OP 85 Days
It's almost been post-op 3months!!! I can't believe how
much time has passed. Now there's no discomfort and I've got a lot of sense in
my jaw! Sometimes it stings, but it doesn't bother me. I can even eat tender
meat! I eat so well that I can't lose weight. But it's good to get rid of
stress!! I always shortened my chin after taking a selfie, but it's so
comfortable because I don't have to do that. I was worried that people would
notice that I had surgery, but people didn't notice that I did facial bone
surgery. They just told me that my face got much smaller!
Post OP 4 Months
These days, I forget that I had surgery. I am so happy
that I don't have to shorten my face length when I take selfies. Even my
parents who opposed the surgery said that it was better to do it for sure.
There is no discomfort at all, my senses are almost back, it doesn't hurt, and
my swelling is almost gone!! I think the unnatural feeling disappeared a lot!!
I'm just waiting for the swelling to be gone in my nose, mouth, and jaw. I am
really glad that I chose EU to do the surgery.
6 Months Post OP
It seems like it was just yesterday when I
was deciding about getting surgery. It’s already been 6 months!! I met with the
doctor last month and did a progress checkup. He told me that there were no
problems and that I have been recovering well. I don’t have any discomforts
with my daily activities or when eating. My nose is still a bit wider but it
does not bother me, plus, I was already warned about it before surgery. When
taking pictures, I’m happy with how my jaw changed. I’ll proceed with the rest
of my braces procedure. I still have minimal swelling left so I’m waiting for
that to decrease! After surgery, I’ve been staying home for a while, I hope
corona ends soon. I want to be able to go outside and take pictures. To EU, I
want to say thank you once again!

I cannot believe that it’s already been 7
months since my surgery. Due to my braces, my mouth hurts sometimes but other
than that, I’m doing well! Who said that weight loss happens after double jaw
surgery and braces?! I’m eating well… too well, so I haven’t been able to lose
weight! But the swelling in my face is almost gone, I feel that the remaining swelling
may also just be my skin. I’m really really really going to go on a diet. Thank
you for performing the surgery and making me recover well enough to eat. I’m
really satisfied with how much my mouth and jaw changed. I’m thinking of just
doing a nose job in the future. Oh right, I also went to EU today to get my
braces checked up and the orthodontist was really kind and examined everything
carefully. He’s always really kind heehee EU is the best! My vacation is over
and I thought I would be able to meet my friends but I only stayed home the
whole time. I’m sad but at least my classes are online so I want to do my pin
removal by this year. If I meet people, they’ll tell me how much I’ve changed
and I would be able to know. I can’t believe I stayed inside during my 7th
month. Next time, I will lose weight and provide a dramatic post OP selfie. I’m
always grateful to EU.

Months Post OP
Hello!! This is my 8th month Post
OP review~! Everyone I meet keeps saying that I have natural looking results
and that it’s hard to tell that I had surgery. Right after surgery, I had
bruises on my neck so I couldn’t go outside. Now, it’s been a long time since
my bruises have disappeared and I think I only have a bit of swelling left. I still
have some fat on my neck that sticks out. I’m not too concerned about that but
the braces still make my mouth feel awkward. But compared to how I was before
surgery, I am not too bothered about the braces! I want to take them off
quickly though. Due to the pandemic, I haven’t been able to go around with my
face showing. But when I turn on my camera for my online classes, I am not self-conscious
about my face. I tried to take pictures at different angles but I’m not good at
taking selfies.
9 Months Post OP
I can’t
believe 9 months has passed since my surgery. Everytime I write a review, I
feel like time flies by! After losing a little bit of weight, I’m not concerned
with my nose widening after surgery and my mom said that my lips look much
prettier after surgery. Without it being too obvious, I had positive changes. I
feel really happy nowadays! Getting braces surgery will not last as long as I
thought, I’m getting it removed next month. It feels like it was only yesterday
when I was sitting on the bed after surgery. I’m always thankful to the staff
at EU for always being so kind to me. ♥

It’s almost
a year since I had surgery!! Time seemed to have gone slowly while I was having
a difficult time recovering after surgery, now it’s almost a year! I did my pin
removal surgery last month and my process for double surgery is now over! After
pin removal surgery, I was swollen for 2~3 days (same amount after double jaw
surgery) but after 10 days, it’s almost gone. While I was getting my stitched
removed, the doctor said it would be the last time we would meet. It’s amusing
how I’m completely over with the double jaw surgery process. Before surgery, I
had a lot of concerns and had to think about it a lot but I think I had a good
result after surgery. I want to thank the doctor. I will wear my retainers
everyday and take good care of it! Thank you EU! ♥
