The motivation of the surgery
When I was young I really don’t like the picture that someone took for me. Especially my bottom jaw looks big and long which made me feel depressed about it. I am not sure that it’s due to innate or my bad habit but I feel like my lantern jaw and facial asymmetric got worse when times go. Furthermore, from my side vide my bottom jaw developed a lot, and due to facial asymmetric. All this case lead me to have malocclusion and TMJ. So I really want to live a higher quality of life with all those functional concerns.
Why EU?
In fact, I thought trust in doctors and a hospital was important because I didn't know about double jaw surgery. So I selected hospitals based on post-operative care, cost-effective parts, and the patient's reviews (the swelling of patients, post-operative changes). I've been consulted at several hospitals, but I thought the EU was swollen or recovering Period is faster than other hospitals and the result of the surgery looks natural. The only reason I chose the hospital was my feeling and impression.❤️ EU staff and Dr. Shin are very kind toward me and they also gave me very strong trust that I chose the hospital.
Post OP 1 Day
I also drank the New Care that EU gave me as a substitute for meals and got deswelling care. I have good condition now!

I discharge the hospital on the second day of surgery! I think I slept a little more than yesterday. Thanks to EU nurses for frequent check-ups all through the middle of the early morning. My face is about to explode., I assumed that my face will be a little more swollen than this, but I hope it will reduce a little bit after today. There is no big inconvenience other than a little runny nose and a little bloody nose! I came home and drank a lot of New Care and sports drink.
Post OP 3 Days
Finally I fall asleep well without a stuffy nose! My face is still swelling that I am afraid that my face might explore!
Post OP 6 Days
I drink newcare and I checked my face from the mirror immediately after I wake up! Thank God that at least my face swollen gets better than yesterday. I will take a walk with my puppy today!
Post OP 7 Days
I visited the hospital to get disinfection! It was a bit hurts when the doctor needs disinfection for the upper lips area! I am really afraid to get stitch out. Also, when I look at my nose it seems like I get stung by a bee!
Post OP 9 Days
While I am brushing my teeth in the morning I was about to faint! I think I should eat some food to gain back my energy!
Post OP 14 Days
Finally, I remove my stiches! I have been really nervous about it since I heard that it's a bit painful! But I don’t feel pain at all! Since today, I eat all the soft food! And I can practice open my mouth with the video! I take a walk after stich out I feel like my swelling reduce much faster than before!
Post OP 19 Days
I've been working hard on opening my mouth, and I can put two fingers inside of my mouth! It's a little bit tingling on the side that which area that screws on it, but I'm spending every day without any major inconvenience. I feel like I'm going to get rid of the swelling, but I've been eating salty food lately, so I'm getting swollen a lot in the morning.
Post OP 20 Days
I feel uncomfortable because my gums are filled in the lower right screw, but I am happy that my swelling has gone down. ? I want to get rid of both wafers and screws as soon.
Post OP 26 Days
I want to eat something delicious.
Post OP 32 Days
The doctor told me that the surgery outcome is good and he showed to me the X-ray! Even when I see the X-ray it looks really good too ^_^ I’ve also been checked to see if my jaw is open comfortably. I also met with orthodontist and he explained to me about braces plan detail. He told me that my braces period to be about a year because my occlusion situation is not that bad. But I need to practice myself to have better occlusion while looking at the mirror.
Post OP 35 Days
I eat it comfortably except for hard food without worrying about inflammation and swelling. But I'm not used to chewing, so it's easier to swallow it. I'm excited because I think I can start working again soon.??
Post OP 42 Days
The feeling of my teeth shaking has gone away and I think I've gotten used to it, too! It's still awkward to chew food, but I don't think there's any difficulty in eating unless I eat something hard! I feel like my palate sensation is coming back. It gets swollen a lot in the morning, and then it gets natural in the afternoon. I'm happy that my jawline seems to be a little visible. Hahahaha...
Post OP 48 Days
I do not big swelling anymore. I start Pilate’s class again and everything is so convenient. Also, I am really glad that I eat most foods well! I ate chicken yesterday.❤ I feel like I am in Heaven...❤
Post OP 55 Days
I eat most of the food well and I'm doing well without any inconvenience. Only the face that braces bothers me and made my mouth to be swelling! Now that the swelling has gone down, I think I've done a hundred and a thousand times of the surgeries with this kind of good result.
Post OP 62 Days
It has been post-op 2 months already! I visited orthodontic treatment on Monday too and I ate pork and rice cake today! Also, I feel much stable when I close my mouth after orthodontic treatment.
Post OP 70 Days
I've lost a lot of swelling, and I've heard a lot of people say that my facial image has matured and prettier. Also, sometimes people asked me if I got a nose job. As the part that was really big under pressure disappears, I think I'm improving my self-esteem and being positive day by day. ❤ The external part is not everything, but I think it's the best way to gain a positive mind and confidence. I keep dreaming of getting rid of my braces!
Post OP 76 Days
Sometimes I touch my lips and I can feel the vibration on it. I think all the sensation is coming back for my bottom lips. After dewelling, my mouth still looks outstanding due to braces! Time flies so fast!
Post OP 83 Days
There's no more discomfort now! My facial line is getting prettier and I'm eating my fried food and kimchi carefully. ?]

It has been post-op 3 months. I don’t feel any comfortable but sometimes when I eat too hard my jaw muscles feel a bit pain. From my feeling, I feel like one day chewing left side is better and other days right side is better. Also, I love to use a water pick which helps to remove the entire food residue. I think most of the swelling has been reduced except my nose area~ I cannot believe that finally, I can use my front teeth to chew something!
It has already been four months since my surgery! I almost forgot that I had surgery and I had no discomforts >.< I spent my time well.
It seems like it was only yesterday when I started drinking New Care…. Most of my swelling has gone down!!! I’m also in the middle of braces but I want to take them off ASAP!

It has been 5 months since my surgery! The
swelling has almost gone down completely. I have not been experiencing any
discomfort. My results look so natural that people can’t tell that I got
surgery done unless I tell them.

Although I have to wear a mask every day, I
am waiting for the day I can finally take off my braces and stop wearing a
mask. I have been healthy and am doing well after my surgery. I had assumed
that my swelling healed completely after 10 months. However, 11 months later, the
area around my mouth and my nose looks more natural.

People keep telling me that my face looks smaller
nowadays! I hadn’t noticed since I’m used to seeing my face every day but I
guess there was some remaining swelling that kept getting better. It seems like
my face is looking more natural everyday after surgery since it is healing
well. It’s almost been a year and my interest for my face shape has been
increasing.
