Motivation of the surgery
The malocclusion avoids me from chewing
food with my front teeth. I hated that my chin was curved every time I took a
picture. So I didn't want to take pictures, and I was very worried. In the
meantime, I searched on Google for a double jaw surgery in Seoul and went to
the EU homepage. I really like the surgery reviews and I decided to get the
consultation at EU & did surgery there!

OP 1 day :
It was the most difficult to overcome dizziness
like a hangover because of the effects of anesthesia and painless injections. I
kept sitting that my butt feels numb. It was difficult to swallow water, but I
was thirsty and drank.
Post
OP 4 days:
I was comfortable when I came home after I
was discharged. The dizziness disappeared a lot. However, when the pain
disappeared, I was so hungry. I was drinking New Care, but my neck was still
swollen so it was hard to swallow it. Still, the dizziness disappeared, making
it much easier.
Post
OP 7 days:
Stuffy nose and pain disappeared, making sleeping
easier. Still, there are still a lot of things I want to eat, so I only watch a
lot of them on YouTube. Time doesn't seem to go very fast : (
Post
OP 10 days:
New Care has already begun to get sick of
it, start to skip to drink new care. Still, I didn't feel hungry because I drink
a lot of water but I start to get stomach due to drink a lot of liquid. While
sleeping, sleep comfortably unless the humidifier is not turned off.

OP 14 days:
Today, I was able to remove the stitch out
and detach the wafer from the hospital. The part where the seam was removed
hurts a little, but I came home and cleaned my teeth and ate the porridge
comfortably. It was so good to be able to eat more conveniently than when I had
a wafer. I want to be able to eat everything quickly soon!
Post
OP 18 days:
Cheese cake or castella was added to the
milk and grinded. It's pretty good because there's more to eat. Because I was
worried about the wafer when I was sleeping, there were many things that were
quite comfortable except for the occasional situation such as wafer is
bothering me. I'm also trying my best to do mouth exercise, so I hope I can
open my mouth a lot sooner.
Post
OP 21 days:
It’s getting easier to to brush my teeth.
The inside of the mouth also heals a lot, so it doesn't hurt to touch it when
brushing my teeth. Since the uncomfortable things disappeared from the
beginning, I do not have any issues during daily life! It just like before
surgery. I hope the remaining swelling will disappear soon since school going
to start soon!
Post
OP 24 days:
I thought I had reduced swelling a lot that
so I went to see my friends. They also said that my swelling has been reduced
more than what I expected. The swelling gradually reduce and the wounds in my
mouth seem to recover, so I feel comfortable. It's time to go to the hospital
soon. I want to eat chicken soon.
Post
OP 28 days:
I ate ramen because I was get tired of
eating only new care and porridge. I couldn't chew it, so I just cut it with
scissors and swallowed it without chewing it. I think I can eat it again next
time. Now, there are few orthodontic treatments left and I should take care of
myself well J
Post
OP 31 days:
Two days later, I will visit EU soon.
Probably I will take X-rays and took picture of my face. I used with asymmetric
face that, the face seems to be bent even after surgery. I think it's because
of the muscles, so I'll take a look after get rid of with all the swelling.
Post
OP 34 days:
From EU, I took a picture of my face and
X-rays so I get can consulted with the doctor. The doctor told me about the
future schedule. And the important thing is that I can chew foods that are
crushed by hand and soft foods little by little. Now I can eat rice more
comfortably.
Post OP 40 days:
My friends were aware that I will do the operation. They told me that my swelling has been reduced a lot. I was pleasure to hear that my image looks different before and after surgery. These days, I have neglected the
movement to open my mouth exercise, but I have to work
hard again.
Post
OP 46 days:
The orthodontist told me that I still had
to wear wafers longer since mandible is still bent to the right when I close my
mouth, so it does not come exactly to the center. I thought it would work by
wearing only a wafer, but I realize that I must have to use my own muscles to
adjust it too. I should try to stay in the middle steadily.
Post
OP 58 days:
In recent years, my mouth has been wide
open! Also orthodontist advises me to chew the food more often. But I still
cannot eat a lot of food that I am craving for other delicious food. I think
it's a good thing because I still can eat a lot of food than before.
Post
OP 64 days:
It's polite and the swelling in the cheek
clown is really missing. I still have left, but the people I have seen for the
first time are so much missing. And my right jaw hurts so I have to ask the
hospital on Friday.
Post
OP 67 days:
I removed the screws on the gums and
changed the wires. Orthodontist said that if the lower teeth try to go back to
the position as before the surgery, I don’t need to force the wafer. I still
have to worry about my chin moving to the right, so I have pay attention to my
chin during the daily life.
Post
OP 73 days:
Now the lower teeth do not fit the wafer. Still, the underneath teeth are still going to the right, so when I open my mouth, they open to the right. So, even when I open my mouth, I should pay attention, and it seems to be working.
Post
OP 76 days:
Even when chewing rice, I feel so good that
it doesn't hurt anymore. Still, chewing is still dangerous, so I'm chewing
carefully. Still, it is good to have a lot of menus to eat. Currently, I can
eat most of the soft food.
Post
OP 79 days:
When I open my mouth, sometimes it just
makes a sound, but it doesn't hurt, but the sound is so loud that I have to ask
once when I go to the next hospital.
Post
OP 88 days:
Now the sensation is starting to come back,
but when I touch the left cheek I still feel numb it.. The left cheek and upper
gum are still numb.
Post
OP 94 days:.
I hope the day will come so that I can eat
meat and chewy food as soon as possible. When I try to eat that its so painful
that I cannot even try it.
Post
OP 5 Months:
Now it is completely back to daily life. I also
can eat what I want to eat. Orthodontist said that the braces are also very
good, so it would be okay to remove the wire. When I look at myself through the
mirror, my nose and cheek are still swelling but I'm also working out hard. I
assume that I will look much better soon! I am so happy!
Post
OP 6 Months:
It seems like the sound from the left chin
is getting better when time goes. I think it will be completely better when I
take out the braces. Since school is on vacation, I can go on a trip and eat
meat without any concern! so I think I can eat meat casually.
Post
OP 7 Months
Post
OP 8 Months:
The brace is now complete. Now, I have been
waiting for only 2 weeks because any food will be stick on the braces. I want
to take it off as soon as possible! ...
Post
OP 9 Months:
After removing the braces, the sound from
the jaw disappeared.
Post
OP 10 Months:
I am wearing retainer and it is very convenient,
except that the pronunciation is strange. Now there is no food that will stick
on the braces and bothers me. So this brushing teeth time has been reduced.
Post
OP 11 Months:
Almost a year has passed since the
operation, so there is nothing uncomfortable. I wear a retainer only when I
sleep, so I feel like I'm back in my normal daily life.
Post
OP 12 Months:
It has been over a year since the surgery. It
was tough experience, but the operation was good and I am satisfied with the
result!. At first, I was scared and afraid that there would be side effects,
but when times goes everything gets better. I am glad to meet EU and did
surgery here!
