일상의 작고 사소한 행동들이 우리의 몸에 지대한 영향을 미치고 있다. ‘안면비대칭’도 예외는 아니다. 한쪽으로만 음식을 씹거나 연필이나 손톱을 깨무는 습관 등 일상의 사소한 나쁜 습관들로 인해 얼굴의 좌우 균형이 틀어질 수 있다.무심코 넘긴 습관으로 생긴 안면비대칭은 사회생활에서 악영향을 미친다. 육안으로도 얼굴의 좌우 균형이 망가져 외형적인 콤플렉스를 유발하며, 턱관절 장애나 이명 등의 증상이 같이 나타나는 경우도 있기 때문이다. 이를 위해 최근 윤곽수술과 양악수술을 고려하는 이들이 느는 추세지만, 안전한 결과를 얻기 위해서는 두 수술의 차이를 이해하는 게 우선이다.
